Review on 🏠 R 16 Home Shaggy Raggy Rug - Cream; 22"x34" - Soft & Stylish Floor Mat by Sima Jensen

I bought this small 'patch' rug along with a large rug in the same color and style for our bathroom. (Not bought from Amazon) It is of excellent quality, looks beautiful and fits perfectly in front of the toilet. The only thing that bothers me is the smell! When I unpacked it (it was wrapped tightly in clear plastic) it smelled like celery! Very strong, like cooking celery on the stove. I took it to the laundry and washed it completely, also with rinse aid. I took it home to hang in the laundry to dry. The whole house still stinks. Everyone who came into the house wanted to know what I was cooking and my laundry is upstairs, on the bedroom level of our house! It was a little better so I decided to only use it when it dries. It still has a faint smell but I hope if it needs to be washed again it will dissipate even more. If you can stand the smell, that's a good thing. Or maybe it's a one-time thing and won't happen to anyone else.
