It's such a simple thing, a cup holder that clips to the side of your desk and is deep and wide enough to hold all the cups and bottles I've tried . You'd think there would be dozens of them to choose from, but no, there's just this one and a few dozen vendors selling another one in different colors. It's good that this product is a true 5 star in this case because the other has some pretty obvious flaws. For those looking for a size comparison, the bracket piece is about the same size as the cup holders in my car. A standard 12-ounce can sits loosely inside, but the cup is deep enough that even a hard smack won't spill. He's great at holding a tall mug of McDonald's on the other end of the spectrum. I haven't tried a mug with a handle, but I suspect the pen slot might be a bit flimsy for some; Instead, I would recommend using isolated toggle switches. The fastening mechanism is an obvious weak point in the design as it is very flimsy and the contact point for the clamp's "leg" is only about the size of a coin. He did a great job though, so I won't be scolding them for it.
