If you want discreet number plate lamps but not ugly halogen yellow these are perfect. If you want terribly bright, stark white LEDs, then this isn't for you. This is for people who don't want a lot of attention on their plates but prefer a slightly whiter light than traditional amber bulbs. I bought quality LED license plate lights and they were all TOO bright. How insanely blinding rear drivers and brighter than most cars, the reverse lights are bright. It's just a tad whiter, looks sleeker in my opinion without the nasty ghetto look of untreated LEDs. (They still need to be worked out, not everyone needs sun bright LEDs with a hospital sterile white color). Yes, LEDs are superior technology in every way, but manufacturers still haven't figured out that not everyone needs maximum lumens and a super white/blue-white ghetto color.
