I bought this to use on my donkey and my draft mare who was gnawing holes in my cheaper slow feed bags with thinner nylon webbing. The wider striped nylon on this bag held it up well, but the rest of the bag just fell apart. I hang my bag on the wall of the counter so it's pressed against regular plywood with no special things to catch and tear the bag, but still cracks and holes are slowly and surely forming on the back of this hay net because of the plastic lining inside is cracked, I suspect it's due to the constant friction of the animals pulling the hay out of the bag and the bag rubbing against the plywood. Velcro stopped. be usable after about a month and the bag no longer closes completely. I was able to secure it with straps so my mare couldn't stick her giant nose in and at least eat for nothing. I'm concerned about the straps on the bottom because I couldn't tighten them enough to avoid snagging a hoof. in a loop. To be honest I'm not exactly sure why the bottom straps are needed. The lining of the hay sack has also come loose from the paneling (picture). I stopped using that hay sack and bought slow feed sacks from Hay Chix.
