This product is great for removing wax from car trim. I think some people expect it to remove stuck grease and the protective cover. It removes some but not all. I removed the side molding from my truck and used an eraser to remove any remaining adhesive. The eraser wheel leaves marks on the paint and this prep spray removed them with ease. To wax my car I use Dawn dish soap to remove most of the dirt and wax and then use this prep spray to remove the remaining wax and soap residue. This product leaves no residue, leaving the surface looking like fresh wax or new paint. Depending on your project. There are tougher cleaners out there if you're looking for something that will remove everything.
