Product joke. Stop spraying after 4 uses. I didn't even spray paint thinner. Interior gaskets are just cheap fiber washers that absorb paint and cannot be cleaned. I contacted TCP for a new seal set but they never did. You're wasting money on this disposable gun. Get a real gun that really lasts. For $180 you can buy a nice Devilbiss kit. Complete junk and the company wasn't behind it. I am disgusted with this purchase.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Large and bulky

TV spots give the impression that a sprayer is great for painting latex - rollers, brushes and pads are designed for that and much better, faster and cheaper. Remember you will need to prep the paint and clean the sprayer - spend more time preparing the room - for furniture the new little foam rollers are easier to use and give a nice finish - better than most hobbyists do with a sprayer could. - I won't blame the airbrush - just the idea that it might be good for wall paint and furniture…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • The list is long.

Superb Latex Paint Spray Gun

I love the finish that spray guns can give a project, but mixing latex paint with Flotrol every time I wanted to spray it was frustrating. This weapon virtually eliminates that problem. I've just completed two painting projects, both with latex paint through this gun. He sprayed them both with very little problem. It's worth taking the time to figure out how to set the gun's settings once I've made the adjustments: paint flow fully open, a small fan and about 45psi on the compressor regulator…

a disaster for me for body repair tools

I bought this to spray Art Grade Acrylic Mica Paint (metal-like paint with mica slime) and it only lasted two months or two paintings. From the start it worked differently than other pistols - after paint was poured into the bowl, it took a few seconds for the paint to come out after the trigger was pulled. Then he worked normally - sprayed very dense layers. I need a few quick shifts in my job with cleaning in between and things just seemed to fail little by little no matter how well I…

Good spray gun for heavy duty primer

This gun is one of the best primer guns for the money. It shoots thick primers, just like the more expensive guns, just don't use the plastic filter they come with. Always use a paint strainer when filling the spray gun. It leaked a little where the bowl attached to the gun, but I took care of that with a little teflon tape. I was surprised at how well it worked and tidied up nicely the next time I needed it. I think someone mentioned using it as a disposable, this gun will work great time and…

WOW, for the money this gun is excellent. Yves Used 3

Wow for the money this gun is great. To date I have used a 3.0mm gun to apply over 1 gallon of gelcoat (it took four applications) and for the past two weeks I have used the gun to apply 7 gallons of Laytex paint in one of my rentals. I wasn't planning on using a pistol for this application, but it works great. PRO: The gun is easy to use, well balanced, good value for money and comes with pretty much everything you need. easy to clean. easy to set up. tight lid, no leaks CONS: regulator sucks,

Can't shoot enough to clean

The only other HVLP gun I've tried before was the HF Purple gun so admittedly I'm new to paint spraying. My use is for spraying latex and primer onto household items (trims, doors, furniture, etc.). The purple gun does not spray latex well, even with the fluid nozzle modified and the paint diluted. I thought the TCP pistol was worth trying as it had a 2.5 tip and reviewers had success with thick stock. This week's project was to spray primer and latex onto a stained mantel. I used 40psi, no…

Great for spraying latex paint

I bought this gun primarily for spraying latex paint based on other reviews I read. For the record, I also have a Graco cordless sprayer that costs almost $700, but I prefer it for most jobs. Graco churns out a TON of paint - great if you're painting large areas, but not great for finer/finer/detailed work. This gun is also much easier to clean. I have primarily used this gun for spraying doors, although it also works well on interior trim and furniture. If you're painting walls, a roll is…

Reliable and Versatile Gun

Thirty years ago, when I put down my brushes and started spraying furniture, I bought a Devilbiss suction gun. It's a great gun for nitrocellulose paint, but I've never had a booth sophisticated enough to spray paint. With oil-based polyurethane, the flow into the siphon is not that great - a lot of splatter and splash. I thought it was my destiny until the HVLP gravity-fed cannons showed up. I'm a big fan of the purple Harbor Freight gravity-feed gun. I have two of these (total investment $18…
