Works great on oil pan gasket leaks and steering gear leaks. I had a good black light flashlight and bought some of these yellow goggles but found they work better with just a black light. Small things have a big impact. Only used one bottle so far and 5 more awaiting the day I need to use them.

I used this to find an oil leak on my diesel truck - this product is twice as concentrated and half the price of what is sold in dealerships, so a quarter the price; I had to use more than I expected to see the color under UV light, but I think that's partly due to the low level of UV light I have. It says it's safe for the oil, but it changes color to a slightly yellowish tint. After fixing the leak, I changed the oil just in case. I was able to identify the source of the leak and take care of it immediately. It can also be used in other applications. I have a UV flashlight that comes with amber glasses that allow you to see the fluorescent dye really easily and clearly.

We have used this color for many years. The bottles we received no longer make the oil glow like it used to, and we've upped the usage by 4 to try and get it working properly like it used to. Now we've tried it on three different cars with the same performance error, so it's not a different problem. Called Tracer and said they will not endorse any product not sold through their approved distributors and Revain is not one of them. DO NOT BUY. not sure what you will get.

I have a test plane that has started to use a lot of oil. I wasn't sure if it was a leak or the crankcase ventilation had blown out. I poured half a bottle and flew for an hour. Closed the hangar doors and turned on the $12.95 black light flashlight I bought at the same time. Quickly found a crack in the oil tank. This kit saved the day.
