This gun is one of the best primer guns for the money. It shoots thick primers, just like the more expensive guns, just don't use the plastic filter they come with. Always use a paint strainer when filling the spray gun. It leaked a little where the bowl attached to the gun, but I took care of that with a little teflon tape. I was surprised at how well it worked and tidied up nicely the next time I needed it. I think someone mentioned using it as a disposable, this gun will work great time and time again as long as you clean it properly, even an $800 spray gun is useless if you don't clean it well Attaching and removing the cap, because the connection is not stressed, I always do this with my expensive gun, I wasn't expecting much because of the price, but with a little preparation and proper care, there's nothing wrong with that. As for primer, latex, or any other thicker paint, I wouldn't paint a car with it unless it's a metal flake like the ad says, but I'd still use the best gun for each paint job.
