The piece that goes between baby's toes is quite large.
The sandals fit perfectly both in length and in width. But the part that should go between the fingers (thumb and next finger) is really quite big. My granddaughter has trouble keeping sandals on her feet. Small children don't have much room between their toes and these sandals have a 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide section - too wide for a child's foot. My sandals need surgery but I'm keeping them.
