Review on πŸ‘• Goodthreads Lightweight Short Sleeve Burgundy X-Small Shirt by Cesar Carter

A little shrinking isn't a big deal

I'm looking for the perfect t-shirt – be it crew neck, V-neck or henley – to wear under a sweater or jacket or alone on warmer days. This Goodthreads Henley is probably my favorite Henley I've found so far. Some brands (Marine Layer, Buck Mason) don't have enough hull length; or they have a loose, wavy fit in the midsection; or the collar does not retain its shape after a wash and dry cycle. I'm happy to report that this Goodthreads Henley bypasses all of these problems. The only thing that bothers me is that it shrinks a bit in the dryer on the "delicates" setting. (Preshrunk cotton is one thing! I don't understand the disgust companies have for using it.) But the torso is still long enough and there's still no contraction/crimping around the collarbone and the collar still holds its shape I guess it's the best right now. EDIT: I bought a second one in a different color (brown compared to the moon blue I had previously) and although they are the same size, the brown is slightly but noticeably smaller than the blue. Both have shrunk a bit in the dryer but the blue was a little bigger to begin with and I wish the brown was as big as the blue. That's quality control for you.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Some difficulties
