I put it on my new sofa as one of my cats liked to try to scratch and if you cut it smaller than the piece provided it is hard to clean Otherwise it worked to keep my cat from scratching the areas I put double sided tape on but it's annoying if you stick to it while sitting on the couch. I ended up removing it so I hope my cat doesn't scratch it again but removing it also removed some lint from the sofa fabric so I'm not sure which is worse.
