24/7 wear on sensitive skin

Bought for teenage son who gets a BAD rash from ALL low grade gold jewelry. I looked at & tried MANY gold chains. He wears his chains 24/7 & while playing sports (sweating a lot). So far so good! 5months in with no rash or discoloration of chain. He does NOT shower with it on though!
