For the first few uses I didn't notice any difference between these and Polar's branded bumpers. But instead of wearing evenly so that it becomes less abrasive over time, they fall apart, leaving a mess of what looks like a collection of scales clinging to your clothes with static cling. The abrasive is held onto a smooth foam pad by a thin white plastic sheet. This film peels off quickly everywhere, leaving weird slick buffer spots that make it unusable. The mess is disgusting, especially when everyone is concerned about cleanliness and hygiene. It looks like dead skin cells all over it. POOH.
