The build quality seems really good and hey I can connect a 2000 Cinema Display to a late 2018 Mac mini so I have nothing to complain about. But somewhere along the DVI to USB-C conversion, this cable adds a super annoying pink stripe down the left side of the display. I have the first image via a USBC adapter (pink line), the second image is the same display powered from the DVI output of an old Power Mac G4 (no line). So it's not the monitor. It's a real shame because other than that the picture quality is great and obviously the computer and monitor work well together, it recognizes the exact model and can scale to different resolutions and such. Maybe it depends on how old the device you are trying to connect to is. It works for some. Not a permanent solution for me, but useful, so three stars?
