A beautiful bowl from a series that Ikea never stopped producing. I looked elsewhere for another simple, well-designed stainless steel hemispherical bowl and couldn't find one. There are similar bowls, but they are not as attractive and cost several times more than Ikea. Blanda Blank shells are still available from other retailers, but at more than double the original price. However, I bought one. I am very satisfied and I am sure that it will last for many years. I read the news that items placed in a bowl outdoors caught fire. Clever from Ikea has designed a bowl that doubles as a solar oven. If there is a power outage, I can use the bowl to make a fire. If it stays in the kitchen it will never be used for that purpose and I don't have to worry about spontaneous combustion. In fact, I plan to buy more of these smaller bowls. I recommend these bowls for their usefulness and beautiful minimalist design.
