Trying to hook this up to a 2017 MacBook Pro. Instantly recognized and works great when it comes to communicating with Hipchat/Webex/Hangouts/Photo Booth/etc. as well as audio. Unfortunately, even in a moderately lit room, the picture becomes so washed out that it's unusable, and there doesn't seem to be any way to control or adjust it. The only thing that worked for me was pointing it directly at the light source when turning it on, as it seems to calibrate itself based on what it's looking at when first plugged in. If you start with bright light, the picture looks almost normal with normal motion. But doing this for every call is more of a hassle than moving my laptop around to use the built-in webcam, which I bought to avoid this.
