Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

The camera performs its functions perfectly, in zoom and other things it works fine (like 720p). By the way, in the 10th Win, the regular application "Camera" normally shoots video in Full HD, so I don't know what didn't work for anyone, everything is fine. Microsoft is doing a great peripheral, all of a sudden.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship, thoughtful fasteners, the ability to put on a tripod, honest Full HD and good optics with focusing (seemingly glass in places), a good microphone. Of the small "joys" - a cable of sufficient length and a cap - it does not hold very tightly, but it does not fall out either. The camera lamp is clearly visible, but does not interfere. Of the "classmates" with similar characteristics - the most adequate price tag.
Cons
  • The price is high

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

As content as an elephant, the gadget is working perfectly. When I talk to friends who have a slow Internet connection, I feel for them. There is nothing else I've read that has made me want to eat the firmware, thus this is the only place I've looked. Just do it if you get the chance; you won't be sorry. The cost, of course (( Yet Microsoft has always been devoted to its own ego. I almost forgot: the application includes a few more tricks using exaggerated facial features. Caps, goggles, and…

Pros
  • Still, Microsoft always finds ways to make its products better for one another. Even though it's dark in the room, the photo looks like it was taken during the day because I bought it, brought it, and stuck a wire in it. Even worse, it lights up in some locations when the sun is out. Nonetheless, volume controls are required. Even though there is only one microphone, the sound quality is outstanding and very Hi-Fi. For added satisfaction, the tripod threaded hole has me hopeful that I'll finally give in and start snapping photos of whatever I want in my own home.
Cons
  • I couldn't discover it (well, if it's tiny, it's awful to maintain the elastic band to close the lens's eye), and it's unfortunate that the top button has no secondary function (at least, that's how I interpreted Windows Live).

Impressions from the purchase are good, buy.

The camera is good, stylish with impressive characteristics. Nice to see her. But the lack of drivers ruined everything! With its pros. Image quality + resolution Low noise level, we can say that they are not at all Microphone autofocus Convenient mount with a tripod connector Appearance, quality manufacture, company Aluminium case Fairly long USB cable Has cons: Drivers are not compatible with Win XP x64. Constantly crashes in Skype, is not defined as a video device. For me, it ruins…

Perfect for my purposes

I take music lessons on Skype. I live in Florida and my teacher is in Barcelona. It's important that he sees what I'm doing so he can correct my clumsiness (the lute is a delicate instrument). It's just as important that I see what he's doing on his side. The instruments sound as if they harmonize with each other. It's also very important. A zoom function would be nice, but for my needs I'm more than satisfied.

I bought this item for skype and video chat.

I bought this item for skype and video chat and it just won't work. I got the job done for Windows 10 but this camera just wants to freeze and turn the picture black. It works for a second or two when I first turn it on, but after that very short time it just stops at the image and distorts it with all sorts of colored lines. I've tried checking for drivers, tried the usual workarounds to get Windows 10 to detect it automatically, nothing seems to make this a really viable device. I'll update…

  • Easy to use

  • Almost everything is fine

No dynamic exposure control on Mac

Trying to hook this up to a 2017 MacBook Pro. Instantly recognized and works great when it comes to communicating with Hipchat/Webex/Hangouts/Photo Booth/etc. as well as audio. Unfortunately, even in a moderately lit room, the picture becomes so washed out that it's unusable, and there doesn't seem to be any way to control or adjust it. The only thing that worked for me was pointing it directly at the light source when turning it on, as it seems to calibrate itself based on what it's looking at

Best quality for the price

I went through 3 different webcams (prices ranging from $40 to $100) looking for one with the same quality. The price makes this webcam a bargain in my opinion. The first picture I shared shows the webcam in operation without lighting, the second shows the webcam with my lighting. Even without my lights, it looks better than any other webcam I've tried. (Note that both photos were taken at night, so there was no natural light.) There are a few things that aren't perfect. First, the autofocus…

On Windows 10 it works without any problems.

I'm not the type of person to write reviews on everything I buy. However, I felt compelled to do so with this product as there were many mixed reviews about this camera that works with Windows 10. I've read all the reviews that this camera doesn't work with Windows 10 and although most of those reviews said it doesn't. Work, I started comparing them to reviews saying it works. 99% of "didn't work" reviews are old reviews; during early builds of Windows 10. I received my camera today (March 31…

Overall a good product but with some serious design flaws

This webcam does the job. Image quality is fine for standard use, and it's plug-and-play on Windows 10, making it easy to set up. However, it has some disadvantages. First, autofocus. The camera sometimes gets randomly out of focus and can take 30 seconds to focus again. The autofocus itself isn't that good and takes a lot longer than most modern cameras should. But the autofocus works well, if not slower. Next is the clamp. The camera is attached to a handy rubber or silicone clip (I don't…

Windows 10 upgrade

Windows 10 no longer supports my old webcam. I was a bit pissed, but the LifeCam VX-1000 was pretty old (but it was Microsoft). I like the LifeCam Studio replacement. Going from VGA resolution to Full HD (1920 x 1080) is a good thing. The instructions (pictures) weren't that clear and the reference to the page at the beginning was misleading. There was no software or drivers on the website, just PDF copies of the documents that came with the webcam. I think it's best to ignore the instructions.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Minor repairability

The only good news is that I found manual focus.

The Life camera I bought a few years ago worked well but eventually broke. I bought a replacement and found that it no longer works with Windows 10. Apparently one of the latest Windows 10 updates is not compatible with Lifecams. It just won't install. Windows does not recognize the device at all. There is a lot of talk about this on the Microsoft support forum, but no one has a solution. The only good news is that I found a small Ausdom manual focus webcam that works just as well as the…
