Customer service is a direct line to ordinary people and easy to understand! Bad: Not 100% accurate, but close enough when used properly. It makes pretty loud beeps and can wake up a sleeping baby. Here's my story: At first it gave me silly results, and they changed with every hit. So I called support and they told me to do this to get accurate results. Hold it 1 to 2 inches from the center of your forehead.2. ALWAYS switch off the device before taking the second measurement! 3. The warmth of your hands can cause the room temperature readings to change.4. She admitted that this device is most accurate at moderate body temperature. After these tips, my device became more accurate, but not perfect. The room temperature was 2-3 degrees below normal and the body temperature was about 1 degree below normal. I brought it to my child's doctor for comparison and she said NONE of the forehead or ear thermometers are 100% accurate. As a mother of a baby I needed something more specific so I tried to return it but Revane said it was non-refundable. .It would be a good tool for kindergartens, classrooms or retirement institutions because no contact is required. This is much easier for kids as it takes 1 second instead of 1 minute for an old fashioned mouth!
