Mattresses are expensive and almost impossible to wash/clean. I was so upset when my pup accidentally peed on it or scratched the surface. This mattress pad definitely saves. I'm a king size and it doesn't take much effort to set it up. It has an elastic pocket that wraps well around the mattress and does not move or wrinkle easily. The attached strips, which we didn't recognize at first, turned out to be additional clamps on all four corners, holding the sheet in place (see attached photo). The surface of the bed stays smooth and tidy no matter how hard we roll back and forth. Before using it, we were concerned that the extra layer of foil wouldn't cause overheating at night. However, this protector is made of bamboo and polyester fibers, which are thick, soft and breathable, allowing us to enjoy a natural feeling when we sleep. We love this protector and highly recommend the product.
