After I posted this review, the seller contacted me, apologized for the problem and sent a free replacement (no pun intended). I will continue to update this review depending on the performance of this device. This type of customer service makes up for any previous dissatisfaction. I hope this was a one-off defect. If I had written this review a month ago I would have given it 5 stars! It worked great. The sensors worked, the light was just right for my application. I didn't even have to charge it for several months. When it finally needed charging, the battery didn't take or hold a charge. The light only works when connected to the USB charging cable. The return period has passed, so I'm sticking with it. I've been wanting to buy another one for my second closet, but I don't want to risk it. I can't tell if it was an accident or just junk. I can see it's still rated highly, which makes me wonder if I bought it with a dead battery or if buyers aren't updating their reviews.
