We are very happy with the Orbit Marine Pro. We have 110l. large sea aquarium, only seahorses, no corals. Our lighting was T 5 - 2 daylight and 2 actinic, with a total output of 220 watts. The biggest problem was if we replaced the 220w led system with a 67w led system would it be bright enough. That. The light is strong and clear. The block allows you to select a pre-programmed lighting schedule or manually adjust the spectrum from 0 to 100%. We found that we didn't have to run blues or daylight at 100% intensity. A gentle up/down motion jars the seahorses much less than turning on the Actinic and then turning on daylight 15 minutes later, which instantly switches from no/low light to full intensity like the old T 5s. We have that Light bar set at about 1 an inch from glass so most light does not reflect up off glass; There is no heat or noise from the cooling fan. Our tank is 48L x 18W x 32H. We ordered a block of 48-60 inches. The light bar is just under 48 inches long, but the legs extend so you can use it on a tank up to 60 inches. Because of its brightness, a 36-48 inch block might have been enough for our aquarium. The cord on the lightbar and transformer is long enough to reach any nearby GFCI outlet, no matter the size of your tank. We attached the Velcro timer to the base cabinet within sight; We recommend using tabs that can be removed without damaging the finish instead of the velcro that comes with the device, as you can play with its positioning once you've had the device for a while.
