Electrically very happy with it

Update 07/29/2021: Still running at the end of the second season of use. I believe this is my option, although I have a dedicated voltmeter. my dashboard and the voltage readings on my fish finder. The problem with them is the voltage drop caused by the cable being pulled to the dashboard and they share the circuit with many other devices. As a result, their readings will always be lower than the voltage at the battery terminals. It is installed in the battery compartment and is powered directly from the main switch. The main disconnect switch is connected directly to the battery with a 1ft 1AWG wire, resulting in negligible voltage drop. - Original review - This was easy to install in the boat's battery box. Set it so that the boat's main power switch is on whenever it is on. My only complaint about this is that the green bars can be glaring at night, making the rest of the display a bit difficult to read. Not that I want a levitating-in-the-dark right on my dash or in my main field of vision. Already installed the season, no problems. It's a bit sheltered from the rain but definitely gets water here and there. If you only have red bars, your battery is 50% empty. (I know I don't account for load, so it's not 100% accurate.) 50% is usually such a deep discharge that you want to put on a deep cell that works more than it starts to shorten its life. a few red streaks, chances are the engine won't start. If you have orange streaks then you are in great shape, no need to worry. Green bars - the battery is fully charged. Flashing numbers mean your battery is charged. The simple color coding is my favorite part. My boat, which my brother also uses, has a 100 amp hour marine battery on board that does everything. It's important to keep track of tension, but with this thing you don't have to memorize numbers. Since the boat also has a non-adjustable charging system, it is possible to charge the battery, the flashing light of which is great to get your attention in such a situation. This lets you know that you need to start burning some extra juice, like turning on your navigation lights or something. This gives me peace of mind if my boat is being used by someone else as they have an easy to understand battery status indicator. Even for me, having looked at a lot of "voltage and remaining charge" graphs, it's still nice to get a quick status report and not think about it too much.
