I need a more professional backpack that I can use for work and one that fits under my seat as a personal item. I wanted one big enough to hold more clothes along with my electronics and my SRAP machine. First, this bag is very well constructed. The fabric is a durable polyester that feels very durable. The zippers are very strong and smooth. The top external pocket is for your headphones and a few other items you want easy access to while the pocket is under your seat. External AC shape pocket with multiple compartments for all your chargers, pens and small documents. There's also a small pocket for quick-access items like a phone or passport. It is designed for thinner items. The side bottle pocket is a nice feature, as is the opposite side umbrella pocket. I bought the SUNEED Travel Umbrella Compact Mini Travel Umbrella a little over 7 inches which fits perfectly. The main compartment is roomy enough to carry my travel luggage and accessories as well as a pair of trainers/shoes, a couple of t-shirts and shorts. I had also packed a lighter jacket in this compartment. The electronics compartment will probably fit a 17" laptop easily, it swallows my MacBook Air 13" with built-in handles in either a horizontal or vertical position and can also be placed in landscape or portrait format using the extended handle of my carry-on. The shoulder straps are well made and work perfectly but I doubt I'll be using them much as I'm very happy with this purchase and feel the price is worth the quality, design and features of this bag UPDATE: I've had these Bag for over 2 years now and have used it many times when travelling. It's holding up very well. The case is lightly padded to keep my electronics safe. Still love this bag front top No big deal foot
