The product you just installed is working great. BUT, like many here, the supplied plastic disc is way too big. And if (like me) you're just reusing an existing washer on your cap that fits, you end up with a less secure solution than if the product only included additional washers that would allow most caps to fit securely with just one washer. Double washers mean the washers can still slide because the inner hole on the small washer secures the attached screw, the outer edge of the large washer fits snugly against the recessed portion of the lid, but the two washers still slide over each other and as a This doesn't keep the screw centered like you would with a single washer that fits your cap. EDIT ONE MONTH LATER: Ok, finally got it right. As I mentioned, it's silly that they don't spend a few extra pennies on extra metal washers. Some reviews suggest using the included metal disc over the existing plastic disc, which I tried, but then the two discs just slide over each other and the toilet seat is still moving after a few weeks. SOLUTION. and buy two metal fender washers with a SMALL inside diameter like 3/16" and just the right outside diameter (3/4" on one of my toilets, 7/8" on the other), then tape them with tape. The one provided Screw near their head so that the screw fits snugly in the inner diameter of the new washer and wrap tape around the outside of the washer so it fits snugly in the toilet seat and washer inner diameter and washer outer diameter and toilet seat.Otherwise there is there horizontal play and your seat still moves.This product would be 100% better if they just included a few extra metal washers that had no play with the crew and zero play with split toilet seats.
