I don't see the sense in reiterating what has already been said about their stylish sound. All I hear is sweet highs and deep bass. One must exercise caution when handling the wire otherwise the sound will quickly fade. However, I'd like to stress that a frayed wire is no reason to toss out the cables in question. I, too, experienced the aforementioned difficulty. But I found a simple solution to this issue; I simply purchased the least expensive drops, severed the wire, and soldered it to some braids. Two-pin and three-pin jacks require different levels of care when being swapped out. Soldering a three-pin will result in poor sound, so if you need to fix something, go for a two-pin instead. My vote is yes!
