These sizes are definitely not true to size. My two daughters who were a size 11 in street shoes got a size 11 and they were too small. They didn't even fit her feet. We brought them back to size 12 and size 12 fits perfectly and is comfortable. Size aside - they're cute, comfy, colors are great, straps are reliable (we ordered one black and one pink). The bow is a little annoying, but if you tie it with a double knot, it's secure enough that it won't come undone. Her ballet teacher stated that ballet shoes are usually around 1 size smaller than their regular shoes so order a size up, I would recommend the same here.
