Review on Bayco LBC 800 Broken Bulb Changer: Effortless Solution for Removing Broken Bulbs by Eric Cooper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for floor lamps

The lamp in the ceiling light broke when I changed it. I've tried every method I could find on the internet to remove the stuck base (potatoes, pliers, duct tape, etc.). When these methods didn't work, I ordered this remedy. It was easy to use and the base came out with very little effort. Notable: The fixture was the main ceiling fixture on a standard height ceiling. I only needed a stepladder to get there and I was able to hold the tool in my hand. It might have been more difficult if I had used an extension handle to get at the larger jig. Also, there was no broken glass attached to the base, which other reviewers found to be an issue. If you have broken glass I would first try breaking it off with a screwdriver or google how to pull out a broken lightbulb with a potato - I think this method will work for you because the glass will pierce the potato. Previously I've only had to use a standard sized tool, so I can't speak to a candelabra stand.

Pros
  • As a replacement for defective incandescent and candelabra lamps
Cons
  • Without automatic
