Much more than you think. Robust closure for heavy loads. I love it! This allows my dog to run freely, but stays within reasonable limits. I highly recommend and will be purchasing another one soon. The only downside is that if your dog does NOT pull (you don't want them to pull) they will get wet in the morning dew and the length makes them difficult to hang somewhere to dry. I think it's a good issue and I'll be buying another one soon to have in my car for impromptu walks in the park.
