Poor KK. Almost useless blank

Ordered blank 1.5 13-15 oz wide. Should be 5.2 to 6 mm thick. I ordered just the right thickness. The weight of the strap is basically 10 ounces and decreases to 7 ounces towards the end. In the photo, only the belt to the left of the caliper is anywhere near the correct weight. The end result was a very expensive foot made of serviceable leather ($30). I have a feeling it was "close enough, good luck". SituationVery disappointed.
