Good light. If this was the only item in the set I would give 4 stars. Very good for basic video work. There is also a nice long power cord. Everything in the world works as expected. The accessories are a bit messy. It looks like the lantern was originally packaged in a molded styrofoam shell. However, the top of the hull has been removed to make room for additional gels, barn doors etc. The whole thing was then stuffed into the original packaging. This meant that all parts were in contact during transport. All gels are damaged by scratches or creases, some have partially or fully detached. Also the accessories scratched the lamp body during transportation. The barn door bracket itself fits very poorly and lets in a lot of light around the ring bracket. The cleaning kit is fine - how hard is it to ruin a bunch of rags in a bag? Judging by the packaging, this carrier doesn't seem to care much about the quality of the delivery. So I have a scratched flashlight that works fine and a few broken and ill-fitting accessories. But I can keep everything clean with a cute rag! UPDATED - One month after purchase. the same helper. On one occasion they offered to replace my damaged item which I appreciate. We have emailed 4 times already. It's always a standard letter expressing my regrets about the poor condition of my items and then asking if my original shipment was in good condition. Spare parts are not yet available. Customer service seems limited to lots of people sending formal emails and little follow up or action to replace my damaged items. SMX
