Very loud, distortion must be present. The volume of the phone and whiteboard makes the speakers sound too loud. Tip for everyone who buys this. Purchase a universal laptop power adapter. AC adapters alone cannot properly power this device. The subwoofer sounded good and again needed the right power supply to properly power the speakers.
