I have hand dyed silk scarves and have sold them in the past. Mine were silk. I know the texture of silk very well. This scarf is very pretty and for the price I will probably buy more. However, it doesn't feel like silk or soft at all. The label says "100% silk, like polyester". This is a heavier chiffon fabric. If softness is an important purchase factor, this scarf is not for you. If you want cheap, pretty and a pretty good size then this will do. It will not suffice as packaging in any shape, form or form. You get what you pay for and for $6 or $7 as expected. Very pretty. Will it continue? I doubt it.
