Update: 01/28/16. The chair did not collapse completely. I wish I had never bought it. Good office chairs cost a lot of money. This chair doesn't cost much. That's not to say it's bad, it's not uncomfortable, but it does look a lot like expensive mesh-backed office chairs. Here the similarities end. This cheaply made in China chair took about 1/2 hour to put together as some of the screws didn't like the idea of spending their whole life in a chair and therefore didn't want to hold on to it. The chair cushion feels stiff and when pressed feels like it is filled with styrofoam packing material. Almost crispy. At around $68 but more at Staples, I'm hoping to get a good few years out of it. Next time I can spend $200 or $300 on a chair that will last for many years. In my opinion, this chair cannot withstand continuous use and is certainly not suitable for everyday office use. I'm hoping this will be fine for my occasional use as a computer chair and will likely be a decent choice for a student with the same purpose. But if your kids live in this chair between homework, web surfing and games, you probably need a better chair. Even for $100-$150 you can buy a much better leather chair. Happy sitting!
