Review on πŸ”Œ Arlington LV1 10 Voltage Mounting Bracket: Easy & Secure Installation by Cody Wuol

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much better hardware (screws) than the Big Box Store

As a computer and networking specialist, I was looking for an Old Work low voltage box I could rely on. I used to go to big stores and sell similar ones (see photo of the orange box) and always get frustrated because the ones in the store don't work because the screws don't match the plastic. Body and effect is difficult to install it. I usually remove the heads from the screws for final installation. I bought these after reading the reviews about how easy they are. Having only set one of them as a test, I have to say that they are correct (see fig.). These low voltage boxes are VERY easy to install. I also really like that they fit tighter to the wall than others. I can't describe how little effort I had to put into screwing the lugs down as opposed to the others. My assessment is that Arlington put a lot more effort and effort into the screws and plastic case. VERY GOOD PRODUCT and we will continue to buy these instead of the orange ones in the big box. Well done Arlington.

Pros
  • Designed for flush wall plate mounting
Cons
  • Large and bulky
