Low Profile Bandage: Electrical Boxes, Wiring Ducts and Fittings

Low Profile Mostly Backless Enclosures. They attach to the wall with the same snap. They are perfect for my home theater. A big plus for them. I have 3 boxes evenly spaced on the wall. I already had an outlet and added a wired outlet to my receiver (with an Arlington mount) with a regular back box and audio out to evenly distribute the outlets (because I'm a bit of a perfectionist). ) one of them should be partially above the pillar of the wall. The Arlington box can be mounted over the stud…

No return policy but great product

They worked great and are of high quality. Great alternative to the standard box. Very easy to install, solid construction and will hold up securely. Just cut a hole, insert them and tighten the two screws. There's no need to keep the latches on if you've never used them before. When tightened, the latch snaps into a fixed position and stays there. You can overtighten and tear off the plastic, so be careful not to use too much force. They are also slightly more expensive. I only needed 3, but…

Great product for brackets

This is the same concept as the "rework box" but without the enclosed space of the box not needed for low voltage wiring. I bought a flexible tongue retainer from a local store that was utterly useless. The ONLY way to secure it was to cut a perfect hole and even then if you had to access or loosen any of it after initial installation it would come loose. This mount does the job. Have I seen ailments that are difficult to isolate? I do not understand that. Look, I think a pattern would be nice,

Great for standard faceplates but not Decora

I think they are great for standard faceplates with sockets built in. However, there are no threads for "Decor" style overlays. There is only one hole on each side above/below the threads of the plug insert. While I'm glad there are at least holes for the bezel screws, I think if they provide holes they could go ahead and thread them. For now I just drive the screws into the faceplate through the holes and straight into the drywall. This works with longer screws, but it means I couldn't use the

Simplicity - Brackets

. I have used Carlon Bracket, Caddy MLPS Bracket and a few others. As a professional electrician, I love that the Caddy is all metal; The 6/32 screws you use to attach the plate go in much easier than the original plastic holes. However, MPLS always requires a few minutes of swearing when trying to find a "pinch screw" hole (which you have to blindly find in the wall). Arlington is easy. Trace the INSIDE of the frame opening and cut the drywall OUTSIDE the line. You just made a simple…

Fantastic brackets that will make your job so much easier

These great brackets are an absolute must for running low voltage cables through walls. This makes it much easier to route speaker cables, network cables, surveillance camera cables, etc. They work similarly to the blue "existing working" outlets you may have used for electrical projects, but they are fully open on the back without part of the box. The box is required for higher voltage power lines, but not for lower voltage applications such as Ethernet cables. So you just cut a hole in the…

Amazing quality What makes these amazing: A.) High quality boxes. B.) are suitable for drywall and the hole cut can be as little as a fraction of an inch. small and you can glue them in place for a nice fit. C.) is suitable for wood wall paneling, but you will need to create a pilot hole with a 1-1/2" drill bit. and then cut out the rest of the hole. which you will need to complete this setup.) Tape measureii.) Small bubble leveliii. ) Hacksaw (I used http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-15-556-Jab…

Much better hardware (screws) than the Big Box Store

As a computer and networking specialist, I was looking for an Old Work low voltage box I could rely on. I used to go to big stores and sell similar ones (see photo of the orange box) and always get frustrated because the ones in the store don't work because the screws don't match the plastic. Body and effect is difficult to install it. I usually remove the heads from the screws for final installation. I bought these after reading the reviews about how easy they are. Having only set one of them…

Nice simple product that is perfect for Keystone faceplates

coax and multimedia cable) combined with Shaxon Keystone wall plates. They work great as existing working 1 seat boxes and get the job done quite easily, especially since the inside of the frame serves as a cutting template. At first I felt they were too fragile in my hands, but once they were firmly attached to the wall they felt better. A customer posted a photo of a £5 wall speaker hanging from one of these panels. I'm not sure I would trust it to that degree, but it's definitely good for…
