These great brackets are an absolute must for running low voltage cables through walls. This makes it much easier to route speaker cables, network cables, surveillance camera cables, etc. They work similarly to the blue "existing working" outlets you may have used for electrical projects, but they are fully open on the back without part of the box. The box is required for higher voltage power lines, but not for lower voltage applications such as Ethernet cables. So you just cut a hole in the wall, insert the mount, and then when you tighten the screws, these little clips fold up and press against the drywall, holding the mount in place. After that you have a nice and clean square hole in the wall for cable management and the bracket has standard size screw holders for overlays. Trust me if you are running any type of low voltage wiring inside walls you will need these brackets, it helps A LOT. Brackets like these are around $1.30 to $1.50 at major hardware stores. So if you buy ten packs here you will definitely save money.
