Before buying these binoculars I tried 2 different binoculars (Nikon Aculon A211 10-22 x 50 zoom binoculars and Celestron SkyMaster 18-40 x 80 zoom binoculars). Both pairs were simply sent back to Revain because they didn't fit me. I find it inappropriate to go into detail about my dissatisfaction, mainly because I feel that the "details of my dissatisfaction" are subjective! But I have to say that both binoculars worked perfectly! You weren't wrong! After reading many meticulous articles about binoculars and a very detailed review of these binoculars at Best Binoculars Reviews, I decided to purchase the Celestron Echelon 20x70 binoculars. I can say with confidence that I am completely delighted with these binoculars. Watching them is pure pleasure. The picture quality is amazing. It's crystal clear, sharp and intimate. Watching the moon in crystal clear detail is both mesmerizing and breathtaking... such a wonderful treat! The stars look like "beautiful points of light" and viewing open star clusters like M44 (Hive Cluster), M45 (Pleiades) and Hyades is breathtaking! I could go on and on... mentioning how stunningly beautiful and wonderful the Orion constellation and some of its features looked through these binoculars last March, as well as other objects I observed including the magnificent Messier 81 (spiral galaxy) and Messier 82 ( Cigar Galaxy) in the constellation of Ursa Major (even without using a tripod)... but I feel like I've said enough! However, can I just say that a few days ago I observed Jupiter and its 4 Galilean satellites - Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. Jupiter looked like a brightly glowing disc. It was the most impressive and phenomenal sight! An important point to point out is that so far I haven't noticed one of the most annoying optical issues known as chromatic aberration or color fringing. This is, I must say, further endorsement of "high quality Japanese optics with patented Celestron XLT coating technology for superior optical performance". Regarding the practicality of binoculars. They are very easy and convenient to use, and holding them is not demanding. However, if you want to observe objects over a longer period of time and in more detail, you need both a tripod adapter and a tripod. Finally, I took these binoculars to my local astronomy club here in Trieste, Italy (il Circolo Culturale Astrophili Trieste) with the intention of getting feedback from more knowledgeable and experienced astronomers. They were very impressed with both the quality of the lenses and what they could actually see! In short… these binoculars are an excellent product!
