I got this as his/her lighter as my wife loves candles. They look like tiny stun guns and I love that they work just as well upside down. Best of all, my wife, while not a geeky woman at all, still enjoys using hers, occasionally brandishing it menacingly when I suggest that her love of cilantro is a character flaw. They feel a little cheap, but not in a way that detracts from function. If your expectations are not too high, you will be satisfied. I thought the on/off button on the bottom would bother me, but I really appreciate it. I don't have to worry about the cat accidentally shooting it or anything. After all, it's nice to have a lighter that, if you use a rechargeable battery, doesn't have a permanent impact on the environment. No replaceable fuel, no disposable plastic lighters.
