Review on Cuetec Cynergy CT 15K Carbon UniLoc by Shigg Bigbee

Revainrating 4 out of 5

TL;DR Great shaft, terrible tip

The shaft is amazing. It's light, silky, pleasant to the touch and fits perfectly (after a small modification)! I'm giving it 4 stars due to an obvious flaw. This is a tip. The included sniper tiger leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. let me explain. At first it looks unfinished. At least by my standards. If I'm paying $400 for a rod, the tip should look neat, at least polished and brought into a decent shape. This was not the case with this barrel. It was raw with an extreme radius, and even the extreme edges of the tip looked rounded. I am attaching a photo for comparison of what it should have looked like. Second, when I started playing the cue, it became numb. I have not received any feedback. With every hit of the cue ball, I couldn't feel how hard I hit it. It was a guessing game. My control of the cue ball failed. After over 25 years of playing loose billiards this was my first long grip so I figured it might just be a narrow grip quark to get used to and adjust accordingly. Although after a few weeks of playing I had enough. Since I was already unhappy with the tip, I figured that maybe the dead feeling might be at the tip as well, so instead of returning the stem I swapped out the tip. A WORLD OF DIFFERENCES. It hits great, feels great, every shot I know exactly what to expect, no more guessing. This is an amazing shaft, just replace the tip
