This hanger fits very wide doors. I've included three photos of it being used to hang a fall wreath on my office door at work. My door is 1 3/4 inches wide. Adding the extra space in the gaps shown in the first two photos adds an extra 3/4 inch, so this hanger should easily fit up to 2 1/2 doors. "Wide. Seems to be quite sturdy. The wreath in the picture is 24" and weighs about 4-5 pounds. My Christmas wreath probably weighs a pound more. These hooks have no problem with that weight and they don't even start sagging or bending.
