The rug is great no visible streaks which some people have complained about but as many others have pointed out the rug will arrive rolled up and probably a little flattened. This introduces some waviness, but I was able to remove about 90% of the waviness by stretching the mat and leaving it under the books with a few pounds of weight on it for several hours. After that I stretched it and warmed it up with a hair dryer for about an hour and pulled it out while warming up. All in all, if you're willing to put some fat in, you'll have a fully usable mat in about 5 hours. The quality of the carpet itself is excellent as expected. Unless destroyed by a pet or something, I expect things like this will last the average GM for many, many years. Stay away from dry erasing and wipe down after the session to avoid staining, although my research shows that almost any stain can be removed with a stiff brush if you are careful not to erase the mesh. Out of curiosity, I made three sets of inch-long marks with each color of the Vis-a-vis Wet Erase Combo Set and left them on the mat for varying periods of time before erasing them to see if there were any stains. After 24 hours, all markings (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown and black) can be easily removed without leaving stains. After 3 days, all traces except purple are easily erased. After about 10 seconds cleaning with water and paper towel I was able to remove the mark. After 7 days the purple and blue marks left, but they are still easily removed within a minute with just water. EDIT: Rating dropped from 5 to 4 stars. This is because there are two very small (maybe 1cm x 2cm) areas on the mat that soil immediately and permanently after use. This may be due to the manufacturing process of the rug, e.g. B. These small stains were not dry cleaned as intended or they were scratched at the factory or during packaging. These blemishes are easy to work around once you know they exist, but there's no other way to find them than to draw on them and wonder why that one blemish isn't rubbing off. This is absolutely the same mat I recommend you buy as it still blows away all the competition.
