Works as is. I like the bright yellow color. The power cord seems very thick, though I can't tell if it's the insulation or the gauge of the wire. 4 stars because I wish the mounting holes on the end caps were bigger. The slots on the back fit a larger screw head, but nobody likes fumbling with them. The end protrusions made installation a lot easier (using small screws - 2 on each end). These metal protrusions are covered with black plastic caps so you may not see them in the photos. The covers are removed instantly and will not be put back on when using the end attachment points. While a thick insulated power cord is good, a right-angle plug would be better. Considering the type of installs this extension is likely to have, that would be a nice touch too. The cable is very stiff and difficult to keep flat.
