This is a very durable product with an elegant and clean look. Hammy didn't want to eat or poop. He's been running for about an hour now, and between his fat hamster stomp (we've been working on the weight) and what they use to get the wheel turning, it sounds like rain. Soft gentle rain. In fact I can say I like the sound rather than being quiet. Overall, the noise level is very low and the durability is excellent.
