Review on RADEX ONE Outdoor Sensitivity Dosimeter by Justin Guldin

The dosimeter is very handy. I bought it to track how much radiation I'm getting at work. While this device isn't a substitute for the TLD/OSD or film badge, it's a good idea to have one on hand to get a rough estimate of how much radiation you've received. You can slip this thing in your pocket (I keep it on my shirt by the handles) and even set it to beep or vibrate at the dosage threshold of your choice. The meter measures dose rate in Sievert and I have included a photo of it working alongside the Ludlum 19 (which is measured in micro-R/h. Multiply the Radex value by 100 to get mR/h. Please note the scale of the Model 19. I found the readings to be quite close (15 µR on the Model 19 vs. 0.16 µSv on the Radex and 171 µR on the Model 19 vs. 1.57 µSv on the Radex.
