I bought this to replace the HD backrest I bought for my 2018 Road King. The piston on the original back failed about two years after installation. I left the original activation lever on the bike and just swapped out the backrest and piston assembly. They appear to be an exact match from the controls to the mounting bracket. This block works well, just like the original. I hope this unit outlasts the branded HD part but only time will tell. I just used this on a 2200 mile trip in the Carolina mountains and it worked great. I cannot be happier with this purchase.
