I thought a lot of the reviews sounded too good to be true. I was only looking for a basic curved memory foam pillow - nothing this fancy. I struggle with sleep - falling asleep and staying asleep. There was a slight chemical smell when it unfurled (it comes rolled up in a tiny box) but I set it outside to air out for the day and it was much less by bedtime. After a couple more days I can say that there is almost no smell left - and I am very sensitive to chemical smells. What I immediately liked was that there was support for my neck but at the same time there was space carved out underneath for my shoulders (I use it flipped top side at the bottom)- I didn't even know that I wanted that until I experienced it. Plus the carved spots on the corners for hands/arms were perfectly designed as when I rolled over and wanted to 'hug' the pillow my hands moved into these exact spots = brilliant! As for sleep - I have slept hard and all through the night most nights, which is a first in a long time! I highly recommend.
