My favorite thing about this box is the sound deadening it provides. I have a Timex Weekender, which if you're familiar with it you know it has a very noticeable tick. Unless you get right on top of this box, it mutes the tick entirely. There would be no problem sleeping with this beside your head with even the noisiest of watches.Glancing at it it easily looks like a $50 box, although there are some fitment issues that would keep me from paying that. These minor fit and finish issues are where different leather pieces don't match properly, strings are loose, etc -- but you really have to look for them to find them. Some "final assembly" is also required, where some of the dividers were not properly installed.Overall, this box is much nicer than I was expecting given the price tag.
