Only for external installation!

Full disclosure, I've only had it for two weeks and had to return it because it didn't meet my needs. Read on to find out the details. That's fine, depending on what you want it for. It works and is easy to install. if you have the right vehicle and agree with the outside assembly. It's a snap to install as shown in the video if you have a small sedan and don't mind leaving it on the trunk. But for other cars, as far as I've seen, it doesn't install properly and doesn't work. I have a 2005 Honda CRV with a hatchback style liftgate. There isn't a place on the outside of my car that would be convenient for me to attach suction cups, so I tried attaching them to the inside tailgate window. It stuck perfectly to the glass, but the camera can't see much from inside my sunroof. They had to mount this camera a little higher so she could see better. In my case that would help. I'm sure I could attach it to my car with duct tape and other stuff, but I didn't spend $150 to do something like this. Weatherproofing depends on that white plastic cover that slides over the back. a camera that covers the antenna, power button, etc. I didn't think this thing would stay on while driving, so I wanted it in my car. If you're okay with it being on the outside of your car, cover it with tape or something. Pros: - Feed is mostly strong and clear - Easy to install (external) - No wiring required - Strong magnetic base Cons: - Mostly only external - Camera isn't big enough to see over some things (if you mount it want in your car) - There is no remote control for the camera so you have to get up and turn it off manually every time you get out of the car or the battery is dead. . And you have to turn it back on manually before you start the car. - If it is installed outside, you need to remove it from the car after each trip and still store it in the car. Otherwise, anyone walking by will remove it from the magnet base and walk with it. In fact, I didn't trust this thing to sit near my car. It is best attached to the trunk of small sedans for backup cameras or to the down-facing doors of trucks for hitching. With no other type of vehicle. That's fine, but honestly, for $150 you can do better.

Pros
  • 2.4GHz wireless video transmission - built-in rechargeable battery - night vision
Cons
  • Some minor issues
