Surprisingly good quality for so much money. I think the top is MDF and the sides and shelves are chipboard. But to be honest, this is not old furniture. The top and sides are covered with beautiful veneer, it looks like real wood. The images on Revain for the cherry finish do not match the color; an image with a darker hue is more accurate. The assembly was quite easy. The eccentric screws were a bit fiddly and at first you might think the screw is too big for the hole drilled. I applied a little downward pressure to hook the screw into the wood while rotating slowly. (Follow the instructions here, which say to gently screw them in.) Unlike some other reviewers, we had no issues with the doors; They hang well and straight and there isn't much space between them. Definitely worth the money.
