I needed to replace a cable that wasn't rated for direct entry when it failed this year (2020) after a cool, wet spring. The cable runs through a drainpipe and is partially buried about 3 cm in the garden under bark mulch. This cable is designed to be end-to-end and I was a bit concerned after reading a review that said the cable would not be suitable for a POE installation. The first thing I did was build the cable to the length I wanted and test it with my camera and it works great. Please note that this cable is copper (no CCA or copper clad aluminum) and works fine for me. I'm not a professional installer, but I found this cable to be easy to work with when crimping my own Ethernet (RJ45) connectors. I also like how it comes off the spool by simply unwinding it and it doesn't kink very much. I have another bulky cable that comes in a pull box, which by its very nature will twist the wire and cause it to twist, especially over long stretches. Each foot of this cable is marked in feet making it easy to measure the required length without guesswork. I would buy it again for any run where moisture would be an element, especially direct instillation.
